50+ things about me in no particular order whether you want to know them or not. I’ll add more as I think of them:

 
1. I HATE peanut butter and chocolate together.  I like them individually but not together.  I will never eat a  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup.
2. I finally stopped biting my fingernails. 
3. I like my coffee light, no sugar.
4. We own a cabin in the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
5. I am not neat.  My house is filled with clutter and debris.  Thankfully Steve doesn’t mind it. 
6. I LOVE antiques, especially porcelains and glass.  Steve and I sold antiques on a part-time basis out of two shops in the early 1990’s.
7. I am currently 52 years old. 
8. I have tried caviar and I do not understand the fascination with it.  It tastes like fish flavored tapioca.

I drive a 2003 Jeep Liberty.  I love my Jeep. 
10. Annie Newton is not my real name.  Annie was my great-aunt.  She took care of me as a child and Newton is my mother's maiden name.  Also my great-great-grandmother was named Annie Newton.

I’m interested in history.  The history of HOW people lived and worked and played.  Not the typical history of wars and news events. 
12. I was biology major in college with an anthropology/sociology minor.  I guess that is where my interest in history of people comes from.
13. I have never and will never watch such TV shows as Survivor, Joe Millionaire, Big Brother, Married by America etc.  I do not watch regular network television.  I’m sorry folks.  I think they’re stupid.
14.  My favorite color is purple.  But I like almost all colors, orange is my least favorite.
15. I have a fear of clowns.  I can’t explain it but they make me very uncomfortable.  Just shut up, okay?
16. I live in a small rural town in southeastern Connecticut.

I don't understand the obsession some people have with sushi.  It's raw fish.  It's BAIT, people!  Even cavemen used fire to cook their food!

I love old photographs.  I sometimes make up stories of the events that lead up to the photograph.  What was happening when the picture was taken?
19. I have often believed that I was born in the wrong era.
20. I collect teddy bears, with Boyd’s being my favorites.  I gave up trying to count all of the ones that I own.
21. I am fascinated by the Victorian age and the lifestyles of the people then.
22. I love doing genealogy research.  It gives me a sense of belonging in the universe. 
23. I have green eyes.
24. I enjoy quilting however it is such a lengthy process for me that I don’t start many quilts.  They can take me several years to complete.
25. I also spin, knit, crochet, embroider, sew.  I like portable projects that I can have with me at all times
26. I am a Breast Cancer Survivor.  Seven years now!
27. I live with my second husband and teen aged son.  Although Ryan is away at college in NH.
28. I like to use fountain pens but they don’t seem to work well when writing out checks. 
29. I could practically LIVE at the Barnes and Noble in the nearby town.  They have a Starbuck’s in there too!

I love Chai tea but not all of the calories.
31. I talk to my plants.  And NO they do not talk back to me.
32. I love the smell of hyacinths but the scent gives me a headache.
33. I suffer from Fibromyalgia.  It's a disorder that affects muscle control and coordination.  Also causes joint and muscle pain.  Also is my reason for being so clumsy.
34. I want to see the Rolling Stones in concert at least once in my lifetime.
35. I want to walk at least part of the Appalachian Trail.
36. Someday I hope to learn how to kayak
37. I can’t swim the regular free style as I get water in my mouth.  But I’m very good at dog paddle and underwater swimming.
38. I had a severe drinking problem before my son was born.  I only drink occasionally now.
39. I like Elton John and I would love to meet him.
40. Most days I drink over a gallon of water.
41. The old movie “White Christmas” with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Ellen makes me cry every time I watch it.
42. I’m somewhat ashamed to admit that one of my favorite movies is “Animal House”.  I also love the Mel Brooks movies of the 70's and 80's like Blazing Saddles and the History of the World, Part I. HA! Yeah, I’m sick.
43. I believe in ghosts and haunted places.
44. I want to visit England and Scotland someday. 
45. I prefer Coke to Pepsi.  Pepsi gives me heartburn.
46. I was the only one in my family to go to college, even for a few years.
47. My little cousin Billy taught me to ride a bicycle and it wasn’t until I was almost 8 years old.  I was very uncoordinated.
48. I have a collection of rocks and minerals lined up on my desk.  I think they’re pretty.
49. I’m allergic to chocolate.  Yep.  As a child if I ate it I would break out in a rash.  It doesn’t happen now unless I eat a ton of it.
50. We operate an Internet based business.
51. We currently have 7 cats, a Cocker Spaniel and 9 Angora bunnies.
52. I'm in awe of fax machines.  Just how the hell DO they work?  Magic.
53. I’m fearful of Halloween.  I think it comes from some ancient pagan blood flowing in my veins.  To me, it’s a night to stay inside and lock the doors and windows.
54. I need to use a cane some days to get around.
55. I'm allergic to cats.  Yeah, I'm a glutton for punishment, see #51.
56. Some of my best friends have been gay, both male and female.
57. I collect teapots, new and antique.
58. I dye my hair.  Currently it's brown.
59. Shiny objects attract me like a moth to a flame.
60. I am afraid of fish, you know when they flop around on land.  It scares the hell out of me. 
61. I love old postcards.  They are little captured pockets of time. 
62. I must wear my eyeglasses during my waking hours
63. I will be on a diet for the rest of my life.
64. I used to do oil painting but I gave it up when I was pregnant.  I didn’t think it was good to breathe all those fumes.
65. I am very, very good at balancing figures.  I really should have pursued a career in accounting.
66. I love to go camping.  There is something very relaxing about sitting around a campfire.
67. I went to Catholic school for the 4th through 8th grade and I survived.
68. I really, really HATE spiders.  They must die.
69. I'm a tiny bit obsessive-compulsive about certain things.  Files, paperwork, etc.  Papers that are stapled crooked drive me over the edge.
70. I was raised a Catholic, I now belong to a Congregational church but I haven't attended in a few years.  I'm not very big on organized religion.  I am interested in Buddhism and Native American philosophies.
71. I have a 25 year old stepson and an 24 year old stepdaughter.
72. I usually read mystery novels but lately I have expanded to biographies.
73. My nickname of queenbomba came from my son.  He could never say "momma" with his perpetually stuffy nose.  It always came out a bomba.  I figure that I'm queen of the house so the name fits me.
