I'm 50 years old, married with one son from a previous marriage. My husband has a son and a daughter, who live with their mother. We live in a rural part of Connecticut, but spend as much free time as possible in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. We have a tiny house here in the woods on about an acre and a half of land. Our family also includes Bailey Amber, our Cocker Spaniel puppy who was born in September '99 and 7 cats that are pictured in the photo gallery and 1 bunny. I have a full time job outside of the home, so my time to work on this page is limited. I will try to keep up with it.
I was diagnosed in the summer of 1999 with Fibromyalgia (FMS). It's a disorder that affects the muscles and motor skills. Some days are very painful, others aren't so bad. The pain is described as similar to arthritis and the disorder is sometimes referred to as arthritis of the muscles. It causes me to be clumsy and forgetful. I also get extremely tired. I'm prone to rant about things, just bear with me. Oh yeah, I also babble on about nonsense. Also, in the Spring of 2000, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Many of the entries during this time are about the cancer, the treatment, and how we all handled it.
I will confess that my name is not Annie. Well, actually, Annie is my Confirmation name having grown up in the Catholic Church. Annie was the name of my great aunt that took care of my when I was young. She died when I was 6 years old. I loved and missed her very much. In this crazy world, I feel more comfortable using a pseudonym.
Everything
that I write about here is true, just the names have been changed to protect
the innocent (wasn't that from Dragnet?).
Annie
(why the
name queenbomba? Bomba is how Ryan with his perpetually stuffy nose
pronounces Momma. And I am queen of this household. Well, I
can dream can't I? )
