I'm very, very tired. I went to bed at 6:00pm last night, fighting
to keep my eyes open until then. I can't believe that I actually
slept all night, dead to the world. The alarm sounded this morning
and I'm still tired. I told Dennis that the Emerald City is sucking
the life out of me.
#1Boss returned yesterday and I must admit he hasn't been too bad. He's been somewhat snappy and sarcastic, yet whistling hymns(I can't figure that out!) in between the negative comments. Something is brewing in the department, and I hope that it doesn't boil over until after I leave. If I am made a decent offer next Monday at the temp agency, I'll give my notice to the Emerald City on Tuesday.
C our clerk, bends rules to suit herself. One day last week, she didn't show up until 11:00. She called and said that she would be a little late as she was "dropping" off her taxes. She showed up some 3 hours later. She still does just enough work to get by. Never asks if anyone needs help or never takes on a project such as cleaning files on her own. If she is asked to do something, she will mutter to herself and roll her eyes skyward. She now thinks that she is untouchable as one of the owners of the company is chasing after her daughter. She parks in the customer garage daily, daring the security guards to question her. Her cocky behavior has increased the stress in the department. #1Boss is trying to get rid of her and I don't blame him, she's trouble.
Other than work, I haven't been capable of doing a damn thing. As I said, I'm exhausted. I had to use my cane today, the hips and legs wouldn't work in harmony for me. I have missed so much T'ai Chi, that there is no way I can return to the intermediate class. I want to return to the beginners class on Mondays to finish out this session. If I do well, I'll try the intermediate again.
I haven't worked on my quilt since the weekend although the all of the pieces are ready to be pinned and sewn. I may take a few blocks to work with me to pin during lunch time. It will help take my mind off of the office politics.
I want to thank Sheila F for the kind words she sent to me a few weeks ago and thanks to Jessica for the encouragement with regards to temp agencies. I'm always amazed that people I am not related to read this drivel.
hhhmmmmm.....guess I can't put a link up for "one year ago today".
